National Association of Counties 2006 National Achievement Award: Landslide repair on San Marcos Road, county of Santa Barbara. National Award for the innovative design for fast-track emergency repair of a landslide.


2005 Projects of the Year: American Public Works Association: Central Coast Emergency Repair of San Marcos Road, Santa Barbara County Public Works/Transportation Award received for innovative design of a large landslide closing a county road.

Santa Barbara / Ventura Counties: Design Innovation Retrofit of the 13th St. Bridge at Vandenberg AFB.

2003 APWA Central Coast Project of the Year: Structure Category: Carpinteria Reservoir.

2002 APWA: National Projects of the Year: Structures Category: Suey Crossing Bridge, Santa Maria. The award was received for innovative design of a 403 foot-long highway bridge using 15 recycled railroad flatcars on a unique foundation.
2001 ASCE: Outstanding Civil Engineering Project of the Year: Suey Crossing Bridge, Santa Maria.
2001 APWA: Project of the Year: Transportation Category: Emergency Repair of East Mountain Drive through Construction of Soldier Pile wall in an Environmentally Sensitive Area.
1998 Structural Engineers Association of Southern California: Project of the Year: Bridge Category: Storke Road Interchange. This award was received for innovative use of MSE (mechanically stabilized earth) walls in conjunction with a bridge abutment founded on driven piles. This was the first time this had ever been done in California.
