The City of Santa Barbara was awarded Active Transportation Program Cycle 1 funding in 2015 for this project. They entrusted Bengal Engineering with the design of a long desired bicycle and pedestrian connection. Given the short time frame to deliver the project, Bengal exceed expectations and provided multi use trail design, utility engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydraulic engineering and project management on time and under budget.
