Before the completion of this project, the public was forced to cross Morro creek, by climbing down the bluff to wade through the creek. The Morro Creek bridge design spanned 130-feet over sensitive ocean estuary providing commuting pedestrians and cyclists an easy route over the creek. The ribbon cutting on July 4th was well attended by an excited public.
