QUINIENTOS ST BRIDGE AT SYCAMORE CREEK
ROADWAY, BRIDGE DESIGN & FLOOD CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS

Santa Barbara, CA
Built 2020
BRIDGE ENGINEERING | ROADWAY ENGINEERING | STRUCTURE DESIGN | HYDRAULIC ENGINEERING
The original bridge construction in 1930 connected Quinientos Street to Clifton Street at the Canada Street intersection on the eastside of Santa Barbara. This bridge was straight even though the roads formed an S-curve. Our solution was for the bridge to be a curve in unison with the roadway geometry. The bridge structure is a reinforced (cast-in-place) concrete slab bridge. The bridge length is approximately 47 feet, and will clear span over Sycamore Creek while creating new enhancements to riparian habitats along sycamore creek.
